To read about the constraints that they worked with, and the constraints they worked with, you realize just how much work and effort it must've taken to just write the software to get people to the moon. It must be both challenging and fun to work in those conditions.
Even then, software is just a small part of the equation. You can't forget about the hardware and manufacturing processes either. How long have humans looked at the moon and fantasized what it's like there? Somehow we did it. One can only hope we'll get to face a similar endeavor in the next hundred years.
